Live on stage: getting 1000s of Majid Al Futtaim staff excited about creativity.

That tiny blob on stage is me. How I got there? Well, it started about six months earlier.

That's when Majid Al Futtaim approached Nomads to help them develop a new brand campaign. In case you haven't heard of Majid Al Futtaim, they're the name behind many of the region's famous shopping malls, hotels and entertainment destinations. They're the people who set up Ski Dubai, the giant indoor ski slope in the dessert.

Together with them, we developed a campaign that broke the mold of typical, glossy Dubai destination ads. When the time came to launch it internally to thousands of their employees across the Middle East, they invited me to present it with them. So I took to the stage in their VOX IMAX cinema and told the story behind the campaign to 600 of their staff and, through a live broadcast, to 1000s of them across the region.

It's truly special when a client involves you in getting their entire company excited about your agency's creative output. It's an opportunity to explain the thinking behind an idea, what it means for the brand and its people and how they can express it best to their customers.

It was also special because it's unlikely I'll ever see one of our slideshows on a screen that big again.
