In the Gulf region, every shopper knows Majid Al Futtaim's malls. But to global retailers and investors, the brand isn’t yet a household name. To showcase its unparalleled foot traffic, we captured a stunning bird's-eye view of Majid Al Futtaim's flagship location, the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. This never-before-seen image was taken by Colombian artist Mario Arroyave using his ultra-high-resolution Phase One camera. The campaign debuted at MAPIC, the premier retail trade show in Cannes, in November 2017.
When Dubai news outlet Lovin Dubai featured the image, it quickly went viral across their social media platforms. How often does a B2B campaign achieve that kind of traction?
This project was developed in collaboration with creatives Adam Fierman and Phil Ramage, strategist Alex Paquin, and account manager Yafa Nassar from Nomads. Jolianne Ray, executive producer from Goodstills Dubai, oversaw the execution.
